My project problem of practice was that our SBAC scores needed to improve. We focused on interim assessments. We discovered there are two tools that SBAC offers that our state does not purchase. One is interim assessments and the other is teacher resources. We were one of 2 states in the US that do not provide these tools for their teachers. We worked with ODE to gain access to this tool. We were the first in the state to use this tool. My team created professional development and an implementation plan for this tool . ODE is lobbying for the state to make this tool available to all Oregon schools. They sent out a film crew and filmed a commercial to use for lobbying purposes. I also had the opportunity to present at a WESD COSA meeting about this tool.
